Our town has been rated nationally in the top 1% of more than 3,100 communities it size and larger as one of the healthiest cities in which to live and work. Lack of urban stress and four gentle seasons convinced author Norman Ford to list Silver City in his book, The 50 Healthiest Places to Live and Retire in the United States.

Unique in natural assets offering high mountain beauty and desert terrain for the everyday pleasure seeker as well as the high tech business person. Local folks and visitors are captivated by our four gentle seasons and abundance of nature’s beauty.

Continue your visit though our site and you will learn how you can become a part of this area’s growth and prosperity. Businesses big or small can take advantage of the combination of lower operating cost, lower tax rates, a workforce with technical training, and a community dedicated to down home quality customer service.

Just look out your windows to see a gateway to the Gila National Forest. Silver City sits on the southern most edge of the Gila National Forest surrounded by the Burro Mountains and a portion of the Black Range just west of Emory Pass.
